Acme Energy Marketing Ltd. is an energy marketing company that provides marketing services to the oil and gas exploration and production industry in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Acme was established in 1997 to provide Canadian petroleum producers with improved netbacks and greater choice in the marketing of their products.

Marketing activities include the purchase, sale and distribution of natural gas, sulphur, crude oil and natural gas liquids. Acme's business includes the contracting for pipeline space, trucking, maintaining inventory balances by product, invoicing and entering into financial swaps and fixed price term transactions to gain maximum value at minimum cost.

Strict risk management controls have been established with Acme to ensure minimum risk and exposure. Acme is strictly a fee for service or margin on transactions provider. Acme does not take a position in the market and does not participate in proprietary trading or the running of a trade book. All of Acme's buyers of product are A+ credit worthy corporations.

This approach allows Acme to represent the producer in the market place. Acme’s two basic contracts, the management services agreement and the product purchase agreement, are both designed with the producers' interests in mind. These contracts are both open and transparent to the producer and allow the producer to control its own market portfolio with Acme providing marketing expertise and administrative services.
